When Corbin Realized He Was Famous

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 8 November 2008 11:22 am

According to Valerie Strauss of The Washington Post, Corbin Bleu realized he was famous when he got “mobbed.”

It was after High School Musical one came out, and Bleu was filming a tv show in Hawaii. During a break Corbin decided to go to a carnival. There he was “mobbed.”

“It was very weird but very fun,” Bleu said.

But when Corbin does want to go out and not be recognized, he ties his hair back and wears a hood. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t like to be recognized by his fans.

“I’ve always kept a pretty sane head about it. I am all about the work I do. Not about being famous,” Corbin said.

He admits that his fans are nice and respectful.

Dance Has Changed Over the Years

According to Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kim Stolz, writers for www.mtv.com, Corbin Bleu talks to MTV about dance.

“Dance has definitely changed over the years, when you look back at Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire,” Bleu said. “At that time, it was viewed upon very well, technically. And now, at least in more of the technical side of it, when you look at dancing, it’s cool to do hip hop,” Corbin added. “I think that’s what’s wonderful about ‘HSM,’ especially this third one. There’s a lot of really masculine numbers, while still maintaining some technical stuff.”

One of those numbers was a dance number with Corbin and Zac Efron - - “The Boys Are Back.” The dance number took place in a junk yard.

“[There was] so much at your fingertips. You have so much to work with,” Bleu said. “We shot that number [over] two consecutive nights into the morning, and the sun was up, so we were very fragile and dead.”

Both of them working hard for their craft and of course their fans.

With his singing and dancing talent he may even do a Broadway Musical.

“I would love to [do a Broadway show] in the future.”

“Boys Are Back.”

Corbin talks to the October/November 2008 Issue of Twist Magazine, and he tells them about his favorite scene in Highschool Musical 3.

“My favorite scene was working with Zac on “Boys Are Back.” It’s our first real duet together. In this movie, you see emotional contact between Troy and Chad - - real friendship. Off set, we always played video games. We are addicted to Smash Brothers!”

Well they had to do something when they were not on set for a scene. Some actors/actress have pool tables, ping-pong tables and many different things.

Video games can be addictive. If I start one, I do not want to stop. I am not sure why . . . but I can’t. I know that I am not the only one out there it happens to.

Who Has the Best Hair

According to http://thebosh.com, Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu chatted with E!’s Michael Yo.

One of the questions that was asked if Corbin would cut off his hair for a role, “Yeah man, if the right role came along. I’m not about doing things for the sake of shock value, yeah I wouldn’t mind cutting it, it’s just hair.”

Then Michael Yo asked who had better hair Zac Efron or Corbin Bleu, “I can’t even compare to Corbin’s. It’s a living, breathing organism. I can’t help it, it’s the softest hair I’ve ever felt. You should try it,” said Zac Efron

Personally, I think that they both have great hair.

Who is Corbin Supporting?

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 18 October 2008 2:31 pm

According to www.hollyscoop.com, Corbin Bleu will be voting for Obama, I am registered to vote, and I’m a Barack Obama supporter.”

It is great that he is setting a great example for other people who are old enough to vote.

Corbin’s Interview

www.moviesonline.con interview Corbin Bleu, and the first question is how he is going to transition in to adult roles

“It’s all about range. We as artists, we’re never satisfied. So you’ve got to always continue to stretch yourself. I’m focusing on getting some more in-depth roles. It would be nice to truly challenge myself, stretch a little bit more. I’m also interested in just expanding into other art forms as well. I’m working on music, I’m into the studio working on my second album, and I’m also producing. I produced a film with my father called “Free Style” which is about motocross and will be out in January in theatres.”

I seems like Corbin has his head firmly placed on his shoulders.

The site continues the interview, by asking what he wanted to be when he grew up.

“You know, it changes. When you’re a kid, you have grand ideas to become a lot of different things. It changed. I wanted to be a marine biologist. I wanted to be a plastic surgeon. Eventually it came down to two directions and it was pediatrician or an actor. Now I can at least play a doctor on TV. I grew up in it, and always knew I wanted the arts in my life. It was just whether it would be a full on career or not, and the time came that I had to make the decision, and I actually decided just to go with what I love doing.”

Growing up I knew I wanted to perform and make people happy. I also wanted to be a mother of ten kids and writer. At one point I remember saying I wanted to be a nun, and my dad said that I was not Catholic, so that was out of the question. There were times I wanted to be an undercover agent, princess etc. Then I realized that I just wanted to act like them.

“The Roller Coaster”

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 11 October 2008 2:51 pm

According to Peter Debruge ,write for www.variety.com, Corbin remembers the warm up exercise at rehearsal time.

“We had a massage train going on, everybody sitting down and massaging each other in a row. He [Ortega] walked into the room, scratched his head a little bit, then put his hands up as if he was looking through a camera,” Bleu says. Ortega invented “the roller coaster” on the spot, incorporating the rippling hands-on-shoulders wave into “HSM 2″ opening song “What Time Is It?”

That a great idea of how the cast would message each other in a row, and how Ortega put his own version in the film.

High School Musical 3 Has Already Broken Records

According to www.redorbit.com, HSM 3 has broken UK recorders for the advance ticket sales, Walt Disney says. So far they have sold more than $890.000 in ticket sales. So of the showing of HSM 3 have been sold out completely.

The release date is October 22.

Corbin Is Out Promoting HSM 3

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Friday 3 October 2008 9:14 am

Corbin Bleu and some of his fellow cast mates started their European tour, to promote their movie HSM 3, on Monday, September 29th.

According to http://justjared.buzznet.com, the cast will later on be in France, Spain, Germany and England.

Corbin Bleu’s Nickname

According to Cher Tippetts, from www.entertainmentwise.com, Corbin Bleu’s was given the nickname “Corby” from the other cast members of HSM.

Cobrin and Zac Efron sing a new song, in HSM 3, called “Boys are Back.” The boys sing the song in a real junkyard. This scene just happens to be Bleu’s favorite. They both learned how to break-dance for the scene. The only bad part is that Bleu and Efron came away from the scene badly bruised.

Why Was Corbin Afraid to Dance?

When I read this, I could not believe it. Corbin Bleu use to be afraid to dance? Could it be the same one who danced his way in to may people’s heart in High School Musical 1-3? Well it is true, according to the September 2008 Issue of M Magazine.

“Prom was slightly awkward and scary. It was almost uncomfortable to just dance — I felt like the whole school was staring at me,” Corbin told the magazine.

Now Corbin doesn’t have to worry about it, and he gives some great advice to others who feel the same way he did.

Are The High School Musical Cast Close?

When you do three movies with almost the same group of things two things could happen. You could end up highly disliking everyone or you could become close. So what happened between the cast of High School Musical?

“With the first movie, we got along really well - - it was a new experience. The second one was different situation. Everyone had a ton of stuff going on because our lives changed a lot. We were a little more separated, but we were still close friends. We didn’t hang out as much,” Corbin told the October/ November 2008 Issue of J-14 Magazine.

When the cast was filming the last High School Musical, they were “the closest we’ve ever been.”

Dancing At Nine Proms

Corbin Bleu sat down with J-14 (October/ November 2008 issue) and talked about is “prom nightmare.”

“I’ve been to nine proms!” Corbin says. I’ve been to a prom on the Queen Mary [ship], a prom at a bar, a prom in South Dakota, Chicago, L.A., everywhere. I went to one at an extremely strict Catholic school where nuns walked around and put a ruler between us if we got too close. That was insane!”

But the one prom that was the scariest was, “I wasn’t at high school in a while, and it was scary. It was uncomfortable to stand. The room formed a circle and kids were likes, ‘Guys, dance. Do your thing.’ It just felt awkward. We got watergunned after that.”

Corbin Goes Camping

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 27 September 2008 4:52 pm

According to www.fashion.ie, Kaycee Stroh from HSM, talked about what fans would be surprised to have seen behind the scenes.

“A lot of fans wouldn’t know that a lot of us do very different things in our spare time. For instance, you’d look over and see Lucas writing and directing his own stuff and making music and things like that. Corbin Bleu, Ryan Sanborn, and I went camping on our spare time and had a camp fire. So I think it’s very shocking because a lot of fans see us as movie stars and don’t see us as regular people doing regular people things. “Corbin’s chopping wood!,” is sort of a funny thought to them.”

As I grow older, I am not surprised about what I hear that celebrities do. But . . . One that really shocked me, and I am sad to say it was not long ago, was that “Harry Potter” actress, Emma Watson fishes. Now that surprised me, but whatever makes them happy . . . Well as long as it is legal.

  Back on Hannah Montana

According to Gina Serpe, writer for www.eonline.com, Corbin Bleu will make a quest appearance on Hannah Montana on Oct. 12.

This is not the first time the Bleu has been on the series. He was on the pilot episode. Corbin will be playing the same character. This episode will be centered round an auction to win a date with Hannah Montana.

Check your local listening for the times.

Free Style

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 20 September 2008 8:36 pm

Finally Corbin Bleu’s next movie is in post-production, according to www.imdb.com. Corbin Bleu will be acting in the role of Cale Bryant in Free Style.According to www. imdb.com, the movie is about ” a powerful story of one young man persevering against all odds. Cale (Bleu), is determined to win a coveted spot on the Grand National racing team without compromising his devotion to his friends and family.”

Sounds like a great movie. They have not set a released date, yet.

High School Musical 3

Corbin Bleu talked to J-14 Magazine ( September 2008 Issue) and he gave some inside information on Troy and Chad’s relationship and about the duet they sung together.

“Chad and Troy have been best friends since kindergarten. They’ve grown up together. You’ve never really seen a lot of emotional contact between the two, and in this movie you really do.”

That doesn’t mean that they always see eye to eye.

“Chad has the whole plan- - they were going to grow up together, go to college together, go to the NBA and be the best players ever. And his plan is being crushed right in front of him!” Bleu says. “It’s really is a bromance. I think out of all the characters, Chad is probably most close to Troy. He even says at a certain point, ‘You leave the girl behind after high school,’ and he accepts that - - he’s going to leave Taylor after school.”

Zac and Corbin’s duet is “Boys Are Back.” Bleu believes that it will be a big smash.

“Zac and I got to do partner dancing. It just clicked – even watching the playback, we were in unison. We’re dancing on top of cars in a junkyard. There is dirt flying everywhere . It’s just a really macho number. We were rolling on tires and doing creative things.”

I will be looking for that number in the movie, when it comes out.

Corbin is Excited About HSM3

According to Greg Hernandez, Columnist for www.dailynews.com, Corbin Bleu is excited about the release of “High School Musical 3,” on October 24th.

He is not the only HSM star to say this, “The musical numbers are bigger,” he said. “You’re going to see some pretty interesting stuff on the silver screen. It’s gonna be cool.”

Just to see it on the big screen, itself will be cool.

“What it has done is incredible because it is this generation’s original musical and it’s something that’s really brought back musicals for so many different kids,” Corbin continues. “It’s inspired a lot of people to get into singing and dancing. It’s just great to be a part of something that does that.”

I bet it is great to be a part of something like that.
