Interview With Corbin Bleu

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 7 March 2009 11:21 am

Corbin Bleu sat down with Allison Levitsky, Contra Costa Times Teen Correspondent. Here are a few questions Corbin answered. You can find some of the other ones on www.insidebayarea.com.

Q: You performed at the Kids’ Inaugural concert. What was that like?

A: That was incredible. First of all, I’ve been a major Obama supporter from the beginning. Just to be able to get invited to perform as part of the inauguration celebration, I was honored. I got a chance to meet Michelle and the first daughters. It was amazing just to be there — freezing cold, but it was just incredible to be there.

Q: Have you had the chance to meet the president?

A: No, I haven’t, but hopefully one day (laughs) I would hope so. This is actually my first year voting.

Q: Do you ever look online, to see what people are saying about you?

A: No, I can’t. I hate doing that. I never look online. I never leave comments about anything. There’s a certain line, I think, that you just cross when you start to do that. You read them sometimes, and even if you’re not a person that usually lets that affect you, at a certain point, it does start to affect you. You just need to focus on what you need to do, on your work.

Q: What advice do you have for young people who want to make it in show business?

A: Do it because you love doing it. Always know that there’s always improvement to be had, and just continue to work. Never get discouraged. There are going to be times when you are going to doubt yourself, or when people will try to make you doubt yourself. You just have to know that if you put your mind to it, you can do it.

What is Corbin Up To

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 28 February 2009 10:25 am

Here are a few questions from an interview with Corbin Bleu from writer Peter Hartlaub, Chronicle Pop Culture Critic, www.sfgate.com. I did not know this, but did you know that Bleu was on ER?

Q: You started acting at a young age. Do you remember being on “E.R.” in 1996?

A: Barely, but I do remember. I remember that George Clooney was awesome. … The whole episode involved our teacher letting us play with bats, so we all had to get rabies shots. The scene starts off on my face, wincing, and then it pulls back and you see that George Clooney is giving me a shot in my rear.

Q: Clooney was your doctor? You didn’t get Sherry Stringfield or Noah Wyle?

A: No, I got the man. Clooney himself. It was really cool. He was a nice guy.

Q: Is there any place you can go to escape the fans?

A: Definitely home. Home or a friend’s house. But to be honest, when it comes to that type of thing, I don’t get bothered. My thing is just ask politely. And if you’re going to walk up, wait until the meal is over, or just walk up politely. My only real pet peeve is when people take pictures from across the way. Just come up and ask me. I’m not going to say no.

Corbin Bleu Dreams About Godzilla?

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 21 February 2009 12:18 pm

www.movieweb.com, had an interview with Corbin Bleu. Here are some of the questions and answers.

The dance scene between Chad and Troy looked a lot of fun to film…

Corbin Bleu: We had an amazing time shooting that sequence in the junkyard. A guy called Chucky Klapow choreographed the dance and I think he did a great job because it really stands out in the movie. It was High School Musical like you’ve never seen before!

Why do the mini Troy and Chad pop up in that scene?

Corbin Bleu: When Troy and Chad were young boys, they used to hang out in the junkyard and pretend that they were superheroes, ninjas and spies. School is very stressful for them in their senior year, so they relive some of their childhood moments again, which is where the mini Chad and Troy come in. They were very cool!

What is your biggest dream?

Corbin Bleu: My biggest dream? Anything with Godzilla in it! No, in all honesty, I just hope to be able to accomplish a lot in my life – in all different forms. This project has been incredible and it’s a massive entity, but there’s still so much more to achieve.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

Corbin Bleu: That’s a long time away! I have no idea where I will be then. Maybe I’ll be a director? Maybe I’ll be on Broadway? For now, I’m going to chill out for a while and see what happens.

Do you get much time to date?

Corbin Bleu: Ha ha! Are you trying to find out if I have a girlfriend or something? The answer is no. I’m very single.

What kind of girls do you go for?

Corbin Bleu: I’m not too fussy. I like girls with a good sense of humour. Girls who are a lot of fun to be around.

Come on… tell us more!

Corbin Bleu: Well, I’m a very outgoing person so I like girls who are not afraid to be themselves. I’m not a shy person and when I hang out with a girl, I want to be able to talk to her. At the same time I like a girl I can have a conversation with – as opposed to me sitting there talking away because she won’t open her mouth. I like conversations and I’m a really big sucker for personality. That’s all!

Madison Pettis Talks About Corbin Bleu

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 20 December 2008 11:19 am

did not realize this, but “Cory in the House” actress Madison Pettis is in “Free Style” with High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu. In a interview with http://justjaredjr.buzznet.com, Madison talks a little bit about Corbin.

”Corbin is like a big brother to me. I mean, I have a big brother the same age as him and he has a sister the same age as me. It was funny that we have siblings that are sort of the same age.”

I think they probably had some fun filming together in Vancouver, Canada… At least with the snow.

“The weather was miserable in Vancouver. We filmed it in the winter so it was snowing and rainy and foggy and cold and windy. It was just awful. But the snow was letting us have the perfect chance to have snowball fights after we stopped working. He’s [Corbin Bleu] better at it than me though. He would sneak behind me and plop one on my head. I can’t reach on top of his head.”

Older siblings do not normally play nice. That is one thing I learned as I was growing up. My older brother would lock me down in the basement and tell me that there were snakes all over the floor. My sisters and I got him back, after they let me out. We locked him in the basement, but he was not as scared as I was.

Corbin is Not Star Struck

Posted by chel | Club Corbin Bleu News | Saturday 6 December 2008 1:02 pm

According to www.timesoftheinternet.com, Corbin Bleu is not star struck.

“I’ve never really been starstruck,” Corbin told Teen Magazine. “I’ve been in the business since I was 2 and I look up to celebs as actors and I respect their work.”

But there is one person who could make him starstruck – - Prince.

Bleu told Teen, “He’s absolutely my favorite singer. I think I’d be a little nervous, but I’d shake his hand.”

It is great that he doesn’t get starstruck, but I cannot say the same thing for me. There are many celebrities that would make me starstruck. I would probably even be afraid to walk up and ask for their autograph.
