When Corbin Realized He Was Famous

According to Valerie Strauss of The Washington Post, Corbin Bleu realized he was famous when he got “mobbed.”
It was after High School Musical one came out, and Bleu was filming a tv show in Hawaii. During a break Corbin decided to go to a carnival. There he was “mobbed.”
“It was very weird but very fun,” Bleu said.
But when Corbin does want to go out and not be recognized, he ties his hair back and wears a hood. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t like to be recognized by his fans.
“I’ve always kept a pretty sane head about it. I am all about the work I do. Not about being famous,” Corbin said.
He admits that his fans are nice and respectful.
Dance Has Changed Over the Years
According to Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kim Stolz, writers for www.mtv.com, Corbin Bleu talks to MTV about dance.
“Dance has definitely changed over the years, when you look back at Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire,” Bleu said. “At that time, it was viewed upon very well, technically. And now, at least in more of the technical side of it, when you look at dancing, it’s cool to do hip hop,” Corbin added. “I think that’s what’s wonderful about ‘HSM,’ especially this third one. There’s a lot of really masculine numbers, while still maintaining some technical stuff.”
One of those numbers was a dance number with Corbin and Zac Efron – - “The Boys Are Back.” The dance number took place in a junk yard.
“[There was] so much at your fingertips. You have so much to work with,” Bleu said. “We shot that number [over] two consecutive nights into the morning, and the sun was up, so we were very fragile and dead.”
Both of them working hard for their craft and of course their fans.
With his singing and dancing talent he may even do a Broadway Musical.
“I would love to [do a Broadway show] in the future.”
